Elkins, WV — A larger than life photo mosaic billboard has been installed on the DMC Alternative Screening Unit (ASU). The mosaic represents the many faces of the health system’s team of employees, providers and volunteers.
“The artwork is a tribute to our staff, who have worked diligently through a very challenging 2020,” said Vance Jackson, FACHE, CEO of Davis Health System.
The 40 by 8 foot mural spans an entire side of the ASU building, located on the DMC campus in Elkins. It was designed and developed by DHS Multimedia Graphic Designer Marianne Gibson, and features varying sized photos of hundreds of staff members. It took Gibson approximately three weeks to perfect the design, and was installed by The Sign Guy of Buckhannon.
“We explored several ideas before landing on the mosaic,” said Gibson. “The multi-size cell mosaic has unique design appeal and overall, captures the essence of the art of caring.”
