The Parsons Advocate

Family means everything to me, as if you haven’t noticed, and I try my best to help any one of them that I can.  In these times of crisis and unemployment I am very lucky to still have a job I can come to everyday.  Some people are not so lucky and I feel for them.  Families with only one working adult are hardest hit and with kids being home from school that makes everything that much harder.

I love my sisters but I have a bond with my brother that seems as if we are twins.  We know what each other is thinking and we have the same ideas.  I will call and he will say that he was just about to call me or was just thinking of me.  I know when he is sick or something is wrong without speaking with him.  Our sisters are older and they were the girly girls.  My brother and I were the playing in the dirt, riding bikes, playing sports twosome.  Momma Said, “A little dirt never hurt anyone.”

My great-nieces and nephews are at an age when this reality will be life for them.  I don’t know if the world will ever get back to what it was and I guess that is part of evolution.  If you have not seen the movie “War of the Worlds” with Tom Cruise, you need to watch it.  Maybe this virus has a purpose for being here we just don’t know what it is yet.  Things like this have happened in the past, but the population of the world was never this big who knows maybe that is the purpose.

I hope with the vaccine work that is being done we can get a handle on things and slow down the outbreak.  I have watched so many movies on this very topic and never dreamed I would be living it.  Momma Said, “I watch a lot of movies about zombies and vampires so I hope that doesn’t come to pass too.”
