Sheriff B.K. Wilfong and his staff have been working hard to get the new office up and running

The department is moving across the street into the original structure of the Tucker County Courthouse. The area they will now occupy used to be the Tucker County Clerk’s office.

The old records vault has been transformed into Sheriff B.K. Wilfongs’ office and the rest of the staff will occupy the other two offices. A new evidence vault has been constructed out of the vault that used to be for the Circuit Clerk’s office.

The new area will give the Sheriff and his staff more room to expand if the need arises. The basement site that the Prosecuting Attorney used to occupy will now be converted into an interrogation room and also an office area for Cpl. Terry Fluharty, Natural Resources Police Officer.

Sheriff Wilfong said, “I am happy to get into our new offices and we all appreciate the hard work by everyone involved with the move.”

Th Tucker County Sheriff’s office can be reached at the same phone number 304-478-2321.
