Do you help your neighbors? I do my best to help friends and neighbors when the need arises. I am pretty handy at things women don’t usually tackle. All thanks to my momma. I can do most anything I set my mind to from landscaping to plumbing or roofing a house. There is one exception, Momma Said, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”
The best part of helping someone is the finished product, the satisfaction of doing something and doing it right. If someone asks me for help I do my best to do the job quickly, if the schedule allows. I hope everyone out there would help out if they can. That is the stitch that holds the fabric of who we are together. Momma Said, “It is just the neighborly thing to do.”
It is the time of year when everything needs to be spruced up, from the lawn, to cleaning windows and spring cleaning the house. I always get behind when it comes to inside chores. I do not like to be inside when the weather is nice. I know it needs to be done, but that doesn’t make me like it. Momma Said, “Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today.”
I will leave you with a thought this week; pray for the people in the Midwest who were hit by the tornadoes and if at all possible, help someone less fortunate than yourself. It will come back tenfold to you some day when you may need help. God Bless You All.
