TUCKER COUNTY VOLLEYBALL DROPS MATCH TO ELKINS, PENDLETON

PARSONS – The Lady Mt. Lions Volleyball team hosted Elkins on Wednesday September 27th for a JV / Varsity contest.

The Elkins JV took the JV match 2-0 as the visiting team won Set 1: 25-4 and Set 2: 25-13.  In the Varsity match Tucker County took Set 1: 25-15.  The Lady Tigers then got the Set 2 win 25-8.  Elkins then took Set 3: 25-19.  The Lady Mt. Lions then got the Set 4 win 25-19 to force at 5th set.  In Set 5 Tucker County jumped out to an 3-1 lead.  Elkins then went on a 7-0 run to make the score 8-3.  The Lady Tigers then forged ahead 14-7 and took the Set 5 win 15-8.  This set win gave Elkins the match victory 3-2 over the Lady Mt. Lions.

 

FRANKLIN – The Tucker County Volleyball team traveled to Pendleton County on Thursday September 28th for a JV / Varsity PVC matchup.

In the JV match Pendleton County took Set 1: 25-13 and Set 2: 25-22 to give Pendleton County JV the 2-0 win.  Pendleton County got the win in Set 1 of the Varsity match 25-17.  Tucker County fought back with a Set 2 win 25-18.  Pendleton County then took Set 3: 25-9 and Set 4: 25-20.  This gave the home team the match win 3-1.

 

The Lady Mt. Lions will host Tygarts Valley on Thursday October 17th.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
