Mary Susan Kellar, 73, of Elkwood, Va., passed away on Sept. 27, 2021 at her residence. Susie was born on Aug. 7, 1948 in Parsons to the late Orval, Sr. and Grace (Lough) Wamsley.

Susie is survived by her son Troy and his spouse Cathy, Cathy’s children Michelle Clayton of Fredericksburg, Va. and Michael LaPorte of Ruther Glen, Va. and grandchildren Justin Kellar and Nathan Kellar both of Chantilly Va.; sisters Jeanette Fox of Sterling, Va., Millie Wamsley of Piqua, Ohio, Judy Filler of Hendersonville, Tenn, Carol (Norm) Knighton of Fruitland Park, Fla., and brothers Wade (Bobbi) Wamsley of Sarasota, Fla. and Charles (Abigail) Wamsley of Hendricks, W.Va., and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-six years, Wayne C. Kellar, infant daughter Kellie Diane Kellar, sister Peggy Ballard, and brother Paul Wamsley Sr.

Susie graduated from Parsons High School in 1966. She retired from Fairfax, Va. County Government. She enjoyed refinishing antique furniture, visiting with neighbors and watching out for the neighborhood pups. She always kept fresh water and food for the pups to enjoy when they came visiting.

A graveside service will be held at noon, Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021, at the old grounds of Culpeper National Cemetery, Culpeper, Va. Interment will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Susie’s memory to the ASPCA, AMVETS, or the Wounded Warrior Project.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Clore-English Funeral Home, Culpeper. Fond memories of Susie and condolences may be shared with the Kellar family through clore-english.com
