The following criminal complaints have been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court:

Heather Nicole Watson, Parsons, was charged with one count Driving Revoked for DUI 2nd Offense.  According to the complaint, on Friday, Dec. 10 at approximately 12:13 p.m. Sheriff J.E. Kopec was pulling out onto US219 on Water St. when he observed the accused, Heather Nicole Watson, traveling north on US219 in a red Subaru.  From previous traffic stops he remembered that she was a suspended and revoked for DUI driver.  He followed her for a short ways and she pulled into her sister’s driveway on Quality Hill.  While calling 911 to check the status of her operator’s license, he asked her if she had gotten her license valid yet in which she responded “no.”  A record check through 911 indicated active DUI conviction from 11-30-17 and a driving revoked for DUI conviction of the same date.  Kopec arrested the accused for driving revoked for DUI and transported her to the Sheriff’s office for processing.

Alexa Ann Lawson, Hambleton, was charged with one count Shoplifting 2nd offense and one count driving while license suspended or revoked 2nd offense.  The complaint states that on Thursday, Dec. 9 at approximately 4:30 p.m. Patrolman N.C. Gidley received a call from Tucker 911 in regards to shoplifting at Walgreens.  He arrived and spoke with the complainant.  They stated that at approximately 3:28 p.m. an ex-employee of Walgreens, Alexa Lawson, was in the store and is seen on camera taking an object off the shelf and putting it into her jacket.  Another employee stated that when Lawson came to pay she observed a square shaped object inside Lawson’s jacket.  The employee then approached her shift lead to report the item.  The complainant then states at that time is when they checked the camera system and found the above stated footage.  They then did an inventory check of the aisle Lawson is seen in, to which it was found that a set of JVC Sport Wireless Headphones were missing from inventory.  The cost of the headphones is marked as $29.95.  The complainant then showed Gidley a video of Lawson, in front of Walgreens entering the driver’s seat of what appeared to be a blue Chevrolet and taking the object out of her jacket.  The object appears to be a white square box consistent in size of the JVC Sport Wireless Headphones that was still on hand in the store and shown to Gidley as the product taken by Lawson.  Lawson is then seen driving the vehicle away from the store and onto Main St in the direction of the traffic light.  Following a criminal background check, it was found that Lawson had prior criminal charges of both Shoplifting and Driving while Suspended or Revoked, as well as other charges involving larceny.
