Dorothy Mae Sinclair, 73, of Philippi, WV, passed away January 24, 2022, under the care of Mansfield Place. She was born April 22, 1948, in Parsons, WV, a daughter to the late Albert C. and Vespa M. (White) Sinclair.
Dorothy loved life and enjoyed it to its fullest extent; from riding the hay wagon as a child to sled riding which continued on as an adult. Her love for the farm never diminished. She continued caring for the garden, tending to her flowers, and picking blackberries. She was very proud of her African Violets that bloomed year-round. Dorothy was well known, well-loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews.
Dorothy is survived by her sibings, Edna E. Keller, Norma J. Perriero and Nancy L. Lipscomb; nieces and nephews, Terry, Vickie, Bradley, Sharon, Rodney, Patricia, Pamela, Taylor, Kathy, Buddy, Sandra, Kevin, Michelle, Donna, Anita, Billy, Bobby, Derek, Michael, Eric and Scott along with numerous great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Derrill Sinclair, Eldon Sinclair, Alberta “Kay” Watring, James “Jimmy” Sinclair and Denzil Sinclair.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Mansfield Place for years of wonderful and loving care given to Dorothy.
Friends were received Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A funeral service was conducted at 1 p.m. with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Limestone, WV. Graveside services was held at the funeral home due to inclement weather. The Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Sinclair family at this time.
