THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams hosted Union on Monday January 31st. In the Girls’ game Davis-Thomas picked up the win by the final score of 34-8. Izzy Kitzmiller led the Lady Bears with 10 points and Isabella Bennett added 9 points in the Davis-Thomas win.
In the Boys’ game Davis-Thomas got the win over Union by the score of 46-17. Carson Dearborn led the Bears with 15 points and Logan Shahan added 8 points in the win for Davis-Thomas.
BAKER – The Lady Bears traveled to East Hardy on Tuesday February 1st. Davis-Thomas picked up the road win by the final score of 28-24. Emmy Cangley led the Lady Bears with 10 points and Mayah Gross added 7 points in the win for Davis-Thomas.
THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ Basketball team hosted Romney on Thursday February 3rd. In the game the Lady Bears fell to Romney. Isabella Bennett led Davis-Thomas with 7 points and Mayah Gross added 6 points in the loss for the Lady Bears.
THOMAS – The Davis-Thomas Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball teams hosted Warm Springs on Saturday February 5th. In the Girls’ game the Lady Bears took the game by the score of 28-8. Isabella Bennett led Davis-Thomas with 10 points. Mayah Gross and Zoe Davis chipped in with 6 points each for the Lady Bears in the win.
In the Boys’ JV game Davis-Thomas picked up the win by the score of 60-35. Cayden Arnold led the Bears JV with 20 points and Gabe Oliver added 19 points for the Davis-Thomas JV in the win. In the Boys’ Varsity contest the game was intense and came down to the last possession. Keelyn Eichelberger of Davis-Thomas hit the shot at the buzzer to give the Bears the 34-32 win over Warm Springs in dramatic fashion. John Rivera and Carson Dearborn led Davis-Thomas in scoring with 10 points each for the Bears in the win. Davis-Thomas recognized their Girls’ Basketball, Boys’ Basketball and Cheerleader 8th grade athletes before the game Saturday.
The Davis-Thomas Girls’ will host Pendleton County tonight Wednesday February 9th. The Lady Bears will then travel to Capon Bridge for the first round PVL playoff game on Thursday February 10th. The Davis-Thomas Boys’ Basketball teams will return to action tonight Wednesday February 9th at East Hardy. The Boys’ teams will then host Aurora on Friday February 11th and then host Pendleton County on Monday February 14th. For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
