Tucker County Schools Celebrate Constitution Week

All throughout Tucker County schools, students are celebrating Constitution Week, which is Sept. 17 – 23.  Recently, local officers of the Blackwater Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) joined students, teachers and school administrators in signing school proclamations stating they would “read and study the Constitution of the United States of America” during this week.

TCHS Principal Alex Cork signed his school’s proclamation along with students Emma Snyder, Ivy Wilt and DAR Blackwater Chapter Regent Cathy Hebb.  At TVEMS, Hebb and Assistant Principal Cynthia Shaffer witnessed the proclamation signing by 6th grade student, Jadyn Hebb, 6th grade social studies teacher Kelly Underwood, and TVEMS principal Kelly Thompson.  Blackwater Chapter Vice Regent Darlya Rapp witnessed the signing of DTEMS by 6th grade student Isabelle Raulings and DTEMS social studies teacher Chelsi Demastes.
