TUCKER COUNTY CROSS COUNTRY RUNS AT STATE MEET

ONA – The State Cross Country Meet was held at Cabell Midland High School on Saturday October 29th.  

 

In the Girls’ race Williamstown’s Alyssa Sauro took first place with a time of 19:01.65.  Three Tucker County Girls’ competed in the State Meet.  Addi Moats(21:41.14) was the top finisher for Tucker County with a 19th place finish.  Erin Chambers(22:26.65) placed 25th for the Lady Mt. Lions.  Katie Hicks(24:45.52) who led the Lady Mt. Lions in the Regional and throughout the season had a great 2 miles for Tucker County before experiencing illness.  She did not quit to finish in 50th place ahead of 12 other runners.  Williamstown would win the Girls’ team State Championship, while Doddridge County finished as State Runner-Up.

 

Wheeling Central’s Aidan Scott won the individual State Championship in the Boys’ race with a time of 16:23.60.  The Tucker County Boys’ team placed well as Cameron Judy(19:22.03) was the top finisher for the Mt. Lions in 28th place.  Nate Ricottilli(19:58.24) placed 36th and Allan Boyles(20:03.11) crossed the line in 39th place.  Lynk Suesli(20:07.88) finished 40th and Alex Boyles(20:16.33) placed 44th out of the 65 total runners.   Williamstown would capture the Boys’ Team State Championship and Buffalo took the Boys’ Team State Runner-Up.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
