The votes are in. The Amish Land Cruise squeaked by the other trips into first place. The second highest vote getter was the Savannah and Charleston. As of now we will plan the Amish trip in September and the Savannah trip in early December for our Christmas trip.
At this point we are not taking any reservations for any trips except the December 3rd Gandy Dancer show. The payments and reservations for the Gandy are all due by Tuesday, November 29, 2022.
We will begin taking reservations for next year’s trips on Monday, December 5, 2022. The trips will be taken only if we have the minimum number of participants. Please, if you are interested in one of the trips, call 304-78-2423 as soon as possible so we know whether or not to continue with the planning. We will set payment dates when we know if we have enough signed up.
We have already reserved tickets for Sight & Sound Theatre for next July (around the 19th or 20th) to see “Moses.” We do not have an itinerary or the pricing yet. We will let you know as soon as we decide. We are working on some shorter trips but they don’t take as long to plan as the longer ones do.
The SHIP lady has expanded her schedule. In addition to the 1st and 3rd Thursday, She will be in Parsons on November 21st and December 5th. Just a reminder that you must call 304-636-4747 to arrange an appointment.
We are seeking donations for our Senior Center food pantry. We are accepting any nonperishable foods. We also have some limited freezer space for meats such as chicken, beef, deer meat, turkey etc.
Next week’s Menu: Mon: Chicken Alfredo over noodles, carrots, pineapple cobbler, and peaches. Tues.: Meatball Hoagie, potato chips, lima beans, and applesauce. Wed.: Northern Beans, Oven potatoes, cornbread, and pears. Thurs.: Chicken Parmesan, California blend vegetables, bread. Fri.: Vegetable soup, grilled cheese sandwich, and crackers.
Both Tucker County Senior Centers will be closed On November 24th and 25th for Thanksgiving and Black Friday. They will open at their regular time on Monday, November 28th.
