The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Lewis County Magistrate office:
Jonathan Michael Long, of Parsons, was charged with one felony county Wanton Endangerment and one felony count Threats of Terrorist Acts. According to the complaint on Sunday, Jan. 29 at approximately 1:49 a.m. Deputy First Class C. Jones and M.J. Ayoob responded to a residence in Weston regarding an active domestic with a firearm. Lewis County 911 dispatch advised they had an open 911 line from that residence and could hear a female stating to a male subject located inside the residence to stop loading firearms and they could hear arguing between the two. Upon arrival officers located the victim and her mother in the driveway of a neighbor’s residence. She stated to officers that the defendant, Jonathan Michael Long, had allegedly pointed a loaded firearm at her and chambered a round. She further stated that the defendant was waiting in the residence to shoot law enforcement that entered. After making multiple attempts to contact the defendant, officers including members of the West Virginia State Police, Elkins police department and the Lewis County Sheriff’s office made entry into the residence. Upon entering the residence, the officers located the defendant in the bedroom lying on the bed which allegedly contained numerous firearms. While attempting to detain the defendant, he began frantically reaching and resisting officer’s attempts to detain him. Officers were then able to place the defendant in hand restraints, placing him in custody without further incident. This incident occurred in Lewis County.
