Voices From The Earth’s Community Theater Ensemble in Thomas will offer a week-long workshop in basic stage skills for children- ACTS- August 4 – 8.
Students entering grades five through eight are invited to take part in the Monday- Friday evening classes to be held at the Thomas Education Center. Classes will run from 6:30 until 8 p.m. Each session will focus on basic performance skills, including vocalization, movement and stage presence. A short production will be prepared for presentation at the end of the week.
This is an introductory workshop, suitable for young people interested in acting or other onstage activities such as dance, music or even public speaking. These classes will offer an opportunity for young people to learn about the magical world of theater production while gaining experience and confidence for themselves.
Class size is limited, and pre-registration is requested. To register, send an email to: kinkerry1@gmail.com. Submitting this information will be taken as a commitment on the part of the student to attend the workshop.
Applicants will receive a reply to let them know if they have been accepted. A workshop fee of $15 will be due at the first class, and will have to be paid by cash or check.
