The Bright Chapel’s Homecoming was held Sunday, July 23, 2023 at the Bright’s Chapel church house pavilion with 107 in attendance. Norm Kight gave the blessing of the food. Jack and Scott Hedrick, Karen Bright, Randy Thomas, Aimee Canfield, Mike Moran, and Daniel Jenkins entertained the family and friends with wonderful music.
Special prizes were given as follows: Woman who celebrated the most birthdays (Oldest woman): Beatrice Long (89 years) , Oldest Man: Herman Long (88 years) Couple married the longest – Herman and Beatrice Long (69 years), Couple most recently married – Brandon and Katelyn Riden (6 years) . The youngest boy- Ivan Reeves (6 years), Youngest girl – Sophia Dockery (3 years). Traveling the farthest were Jim and Jeannie Lewis (2000 miles from Arizona). The Special Appreciation award was awarded to Dawn Kight. All those attended enjoyed reliving old memories, making new memories, eating delicious food, and listening to good music.
