Harry Russler Kisner, 92, of Terra Alta, died Wednesday August 20, 2014 at Heartland of Preston County, Kingwood, WV.
The son of the late Page Cross and Louella Jones Kisner, he was born December 11, 1921 in Parsons, WV.
He was a member of Freeland United Methodist Church. Harry was a U.S. Army Veteran of W.W.II and was a Dairy Farmer for many years.
He is survived by two sons and spouses, Steve and Dorinda Kisner of Terra Alta and Phillip and Patsy Kisner of Millstone, WV; three daughters and spouses, Louella (Susie) and John Friend of Woodbridge, VA, Rebecca and John Dixon of Terra Alta and Karen and Marshall Bishop of Morgantown, WV; three brothers, Glenn Kisner and wife Norma of Little Hocking, OH, Doyle Kisner and Richard Kisner both of Parsons, WV; two sisters, Dorothy Kisner of Parsons, WV and Julia Cochran and husband Vernon of Fairfax, VA; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary M. Kisner; granddaughter, Mary Margarette Kisner; four sisters, Auzine Kisner, Shirley Grey, Evelyn Kisner and Freda Dumire; and one brother, James Kisner.
Family and friends were received at the Arthur H. Wright Funeral Home, Terra Alta on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.. The funeral service were Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Eric Beeman officiating.
Burial followed in the Terra Alta Cemetery with military services accorded by Preston County VFW Posts, Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 977, and WVARNG Military Funeral Honors, Camp Dawson.
