TUCKER COUNTY GIRLS’ CRUISE TO ROAD WIN AT UNION 78-32

STORM – The Lady Mt. Lions traveled to Union on Wednesday December 13th for a varsity only contest with the Lady Tigers.  Tucker County got an early lead to start the game and never looked back as they picked up the win 78-32.

Tucker County scored 19 points in the first quarter and held Union to 9 points to lead 19-9 after one quarter.  The Lady Mt. Lions controlled the second quarter as well as they outscored the homestanding Lady Tigers 17-7.  This would give Tucker County the halftime lead of 36-16.

The Lady Mt. Lions defense then took over the third quarter as they held Union to just 2 points in the period as Tucker County scored 21 points to give the visiting Lady Mt. Lions the 57-18 lead after three quarters.  The fourth quarter would also belong to Tucker County as they outscored the Lady Tigers 21-14 in the final quarter to make the final score 78-32 Tucker County.

Macy Helmick led the Lady Mt. Lions in scoring with 14 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and Addie Hicks added 12 points, 5 steals in the win.  Ericka Zirk and Brylee Wetzel had 11 points each, while Raven Matthews ended the game with 11 points, 7 rebounds. 4 blocks for Tucker County.  

Tucker County(4-0) will return to action Thursday at home against Lincoln on December 21st.  For more info go to TuckerCountySports.Com.
