Rosemary Leone, 78, of Berryville, VA., died on Jan. 9, 2024, at Winchester Medical Center.
Mrs. Leone was born Oct. 7, 1945, in Masontown, WV, the daughter of the late George William Smith and Wanita Agnes Ayresman Smith.
She was a dietary aid for 25 years for Cortland Acres in Thomas, WV.
She was a member of the Clarke County Senior Center. She was a former member of The Order of the Eastern Star where she had served as the Past Grand Representative of The Eastern Star for the state of WV.
She married Frank Leone, Jr. in 1963. Mr. Leone died March 5, 2013.
Surviving is a daughter, Wanita Rose Ervin (Bryon) of Berryville, VA; a son Frank Leone III of Charleston, WV; two sisters, Shirley Hess of Bretz, WV and Dixie Methney (Bill) of Masontown, WV; a brother, Dennis Smith (Brenda) of Masontown, WV; three grandsons, Derek Samples, Maxwell Ervin (Hanna) and Chase Ervin (Hannah); two great-grandchildren, Oliver Ervin and Belle Rose Ervin.
She is preceded in death by two sisters, Ada Chipps and Deloris Jean Hess, three brothers, Bob Smith, Donald Methney (Bill), and George June Smith.
The family received friends 1-2 p.m. and a funeral service followed at 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024 at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville, VA. Burial followed at Green Hill Cemetery, Berryville, VA.
