Matthew Shane Dellinger, age 23 years, a resident of the Elk Community, Hendricks, WV, departed this life Friday, June 21, 2024.

He was born April 11, 2001, at Petersburg, WV, a son of Shane Ray Dellinger of Petersburg, WV and Lisa Dawn Dearien and companion Sam Arbogast of Beverly, WV

Also surviving are four brothers, Patrick Dellinger, Kenneth Dellinger, Tyler and Logan Wilcher, two sisters, Kerri Vance and Alexis Dellinger; his grandmother who raised him, Anna Lynn Carr Wilcher of Hendricks; one uncle, Stephen William Wilcher, of Hendricks; aunts, Angie Davis and Tammy Davis of Augusta, and Tonya Ioannou of Petersburg.

Preceding him in death are his grandparents, George Curtis Wilcher, Jeannette Arlene Bare and Floyd Edward Dellinger; and his great grandparents, Charles W. Carr and Roberta Carr.

He was graduate of Tucker County High School with the class of 2019.   He was an employee of Pilgrims Pride in Moorefield, America’s Insurance Co., a Computer Tech and other various jobs.  He loved to work and enjoyed working on his car, and computer and video games, Matthew was very loving and very generous, and he just loved everyone and spending time with his friends.

The family will receive friends at the Brights Chapel Church at Dry Fork, WV on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 11 AM to 1 PM.  Final rites will be conducted at the church on Thursday at 1 PM.  Pastor Lonnie Daniels will officiate and interment will follow at the Brights Chapel Cemetery at Dry Fork, WV.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Matthew Shane Dellinger.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
