The City of Parsons Council voted on July 16th to replace former City Recorder Tim Auvil with City Council Member Seth Rosenau on the Parks and Recreation Board.  “We discussed this at the last meeting,” Turner said.  “We said that we would bring this forward after discussion with the Mayor.  At the time, I think it was pretty clear what Council’s decision was for this. I don’t know if he relayed it to all parties.”

The vote came as a result of a motion made by Council Member Tim Turner and seconded by Rosenau.  “Tim Auvil had served from the Board on the Parks and Rec and so I am making a motion that we remove Tim Auvil from the Parks and Rec due to the fact that he is not a Council member,” Turner said.

The vote was carried with four in favor and an opposition by Council Member David Greenlief, Sr.  A roll call vote was requested by Greenlief that confirmed the vote count. “I request a roll call, please,” Greenlief said.

In a separate motion by Council Member Kathy Di Bacco and seconded by Turner, Rosenau was appointed to be Council Liaison on the Parks and Recreation Board. The motion carried with three in favor, Greenlief opposing and Roseanu abstaining.  “He has expressed interest since he was a private individual,” Di Bacco said. “He wanted to be on Parks and Rec and since you are here, you can be Council Liaison.”
