The Tucker County Volleyball squad hosted the Golden Tornadoes of Keyser this past week. The Mt. Lions would sweep the Tornadoes in three sets in a match that included a protest of the net height and the eventual forfeit by Keyser. The first set was won by Tucker with a score of 25-20. The second set was when the game had some controversy when Keyser’s coach protested the net height. After the short delay, Tucker would go on to win the set 25-17. The third set began with a lot of emotion from both squads, and when TC was up 21-17, a yellow card was issued to a Keyser player, causing the opposing coach to pull his squad and leave the gymnasium at Tucker County High School. With the exit arrived a Tucker County Victory in the match. Tucker has three matches this week, with a home match vs. Southern Garrett on October 7th, a trip to Petersburg on October 8th and a home match with Moorefield on October 10th.
