The Tucker Valley Wildcats took the long trip to the Ohio River this past Saturday to take on Paden City. The Wildcats would start off slow on offense finally pushing in the score off a 14-yard touchdown run by Sawyer Fansler. Branson Hyre would add the two point and Tucker was up 8-0 at the end of the first. The Wildcats’ defense would force another turnover and Hyre would punch in the score from two yards out. Hyre would then find Johnathan Tuttle for the conversion and Tucker was out to a 16-0 lead. Hyre would find the end zone for a second time in the first half, this time from 12 yards out. The conversion was successful, and Tucker was up 24-0. Paden City would try to air it out before the half, but corner, Titus Bowley, would intercept the pass as the horn would sound. The Wildcats would continue to pound the ball on the ground in the second half and Hyre would score for a third time with an 8-yard run. Isaiah Lipscomb would push in the two point attempt and Tucker’s lead was 32-0. The Wildcats’ defense would maintain its shutout giving their offense another opportunity to extend the lead. They did just that when Lipscomb took the handoff from the “candy” QB, Isaiah Boyles, and followed lead blocker, Asher Kisamore, into the end zone from seven yards out. This would prove to be the final score in the contest with a final of 38-0
