Tucker Valley and Davis Thomas Middle Schools met at the TCHS gymnasium last Saturday December 21st for their first inner county matchup of the season. Both the girls’ and the boys’ teams would square off against each other on the day. The girls’ teams would tip off first with DT coming out hot against the Wildcats. The Bears would take the lead into the halftime break with a score of 23-6. Davis Thomas would continue to control the game in the second half over the Wildcats and take the win with a final score of 41-11. The boys’ teams would take the court next as the scripts would flip from the girls’ matchups to the boys’. The Wildcats would use their size advantage against the younger Bears to take a 15-0 lead into the break. The second half of the contest was much like that of the first with Tucker Valley extending its lead over Davis Thomas. The eventual final would come to be 63-21 in favor of Tucker Valley.
