Barbara A. (DiBacco) Sedmock

Our beloved mother age 96, died Sunday December 8, 2024 following a brief illness. Born in Thomas, WV, she attended West Virginia University before moving to Canton. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Barbara lived a life devoted to her faith and her family.  She is survived by her sons: Mark (Karen) Sedmock of North Canton, Matthew (Donna) Sedmock of Akron, Michael (Christen) Sedmock of North Canton, Patrick (Christy) Sedmock of Uniontown; daughters: Ann (Mike) Looby of Canton, Linda Kay (Mike) Costello of Magnolia, Emma George of North Canton; 16 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Edward Sedmock who died November 11, 2024 and brother Jerome DiBacco. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 am in St. Peter Catholic Church with the Very Reverend Dr. David M. Misbrener as celebrant. The burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the Wackerly Funeral Home. We would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff at Canton Christian Home for all the personal love and care. Donations may be made in her name to St. Peter Catholic Church.
