Elkins, WV—Area nursing professionals can satisfy a new continuing education requirement at one of four sessions to be offered jointly by Davis Memorial Hospital and Ann Bostic, CRNA, MS, MBA.
The program meets legislative requirements of SB 437 which requires all registered nurses who administer or prescribe controlled substances to complete 3 hours of continuing education on prescribing and preventing drug diversion by October 31, 2013.
The program is approved for 3.0 contact hours Provider #P0102-15. Ann Bostic, CRNA, MS, MBA, is an approved provider by the West Virginia Nurses Association (WVNA). The WVNA is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Accreditation (ANCC).
Two sessions will be held August 29, 2013; the first from 8:30 – 11:30 am, and the second from 4:30 – 7:30 pm. Sessions are scheduled again on September 4, 2013; the first from 8:30 – 11:30 am, and the second from 1 – 4 pm. Participants need only attend one of the 3-hour sessions.
All sessions will be held in the Davis Memorial Hospital Cafeteria Overflow room on the ground floor of the hospital.
Space is limited and a reservation is required. Those interested should forward a $15 check made payable to Ann Bostic to the DMH Education Department at 900 Main Street, Elkins, WV. Reservation and payment must be received one week prior to the session.
