ELKINS, W.Va. — Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center has added long-time Randolph County resident Darroll Talbott Jr. to its board of directors.
Talbott was appointed to serve by the other members of the board. His term began on January 1 and will last until the end of 2028.
“Mr. Talbott brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the board,” said Tara Shaver, administrator. “We couldn’t be happier that he was appointed.”
Talbott will join the group of other board members with a wide range of backgrounds who represent the non-profit. He retired from the Woodford Oil Company and was previously employed with the Guttman Oil Company, where he spent 26 years as a branch manager. He started his career at Badger Coal Company.
He is a 1982 graduate of West Virginia University.
“Our board is made up a wide range of people who represent different fields and bring different skill sets to the table,” Shaver said. “Darroll is a hard worker, and he will add a lot to this organization.”
Talbott has two children and two grandchildren. He is retired and he enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and playing golf.
