Tucker Girls Collect Pair of Wins Over Both Hardy County Schools

The Tucker County Lady Mt. Lions swept both Hardy County Schools this past week in a convincing fashion. Tucker first defeated the East Hardy Lady Cougars by a margin of 20 points with a final score of 59-39. 

Matthews 16 pts, 13 reb, FT 2-3; Gross 15 pts, 3 reb; Shaffer 8 pts, 3 reb, FT 0-1; Evans 5 pts, 6 reb, 8 ast, FT 3-4; Kitzmiller 5 pts 1 reb; Herron 5 pts, 5 reb; Pase 4 pts; Snyder 1 pt, FT 1-2 

3 Point Goals 5-16: Gross (3) Kitzmiller (1) Herron (1) 

 

The Lady Mt. Lions would then travel to the other Hardy County School, the Moorefield Lady Yellowjackets. Tucker would take home the victory for the Hardy County sweep 54-37. 

Matthews 20 pts, 12 reb, FT 8-10; Gross 11 pts, 3 reb, FT 0-2; Shaffer 6 pts, 8 reb, FT 2-3; Moats 6 pts, 4 reb, FT 1-2; Herron 4 pts, 4 reb, FT 0-2; Kitzmiller 4 pts; Evans 3 pts, 6 reb, FT 1-2. 

 

The Lady Mt. Lions will return home on Monday, February 3rd  to take on the ranked AAA Elkins Lady Tigers.
