Area high school senior proms will be taking place throughout the area in the coming weeks. Finding that special dress for the big night doesn’t have to break the bank.  And the solution is right here in the area.

WV Caring’s Cinderella Project is a community outreach program that provides teen women with an affordable way to attend their high school prom. This year it will be held on Saturday, March 15th at 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at all three of West Virginia Caring’s Resale Shops; Bellview, Burnsville and Reedsville, WV. There are new and gently used prom dresses for $10 dollars or less. All shoes, handbags, and accessories are $5.00 each. This sale has everything a young person needs to make their prom night special.

Donations for dresses and accessories are needed to ensure there is a full inventory of all sizes and kinds of party attire available.  Donations can be dropped off at the Resale Shops and the local WV Caring offices.

The Resale Shops are open throughout the week.  For store hours and to answer any questions, please call Lydia Mayne at (304) 864-4010, email her at: lmayne@wvcaring.org or find us on our WV Caring Resale Stores page on Facebook.

Since 1983, West Virginia Caring, a 501 (c) (3), non-profit an advanced illness provider, has been dedicated to improve care for those facing life-limiting illness through direct support of patients and their families while providing advocacy, outreach, education and expertise in grief support to the entire community.  WV Caring serves the following twelve counties: Barbour, Braxton, Calhoun, Gilmer, Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Pocahontas, Randolph, Taylor, Tucker, and Wetzel. WV Caring is one of a few non- profit, stand-alone hospices serving North Central West Virginia.
