Marie Ellen Crossland, 88, of Davis, passed away on March 9, 2025, at the Stonehaven Home in Home in Belington. Born on August 30, 1936, in Lanesville, she was the daughter of the late Joyl and Mary (Collins) Crossland.

Marie retired from the City of Alexandria, VA, where she worked as a secretary. She enjoyed playing bingo and board games. She grew up on country music and would go square dancing any chance she had.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Robin Hassinger; a grandson, Cole Jones; two siblings, Richard Crossland and wife Wanda, and Elaine Kackley; a sister in law, Sharon Crossland; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Dixie Lea and Allen.

Friends will be received on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 10 AM to 12 PM, at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, 567 Thomas Avenue, Davis. A funeral service will be held at 12 PM in the funeral home with Pastor John Callaway officiating. Interment will follow in the Buena Cemetery.

The Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Crossland family.
