The TCHS baseball team’s regular season finished up this past week with games against Trinity Christian and Tygarts Valley. The matchup against Trinity Christian was a shortened game due to weather. Tucker’s Reece Poling got the win for the Mt. Lions pitching 2 innings and giving up 3 runs.
The Mt. Lions’ offense, however, had things going, as they knocked in 7 earned runs. Owen Helmick and Reece Poling both went 1-1 at the plate with a double and 2 RBI’s on their way to a 7-3 victory. Tucker would then travel to Tygarts Valley on Wednesday to take on the Bulldogs.
Tucker would register 4 hits in the contest, all singles from Josh Crossland, Blake Helmick, Cade Rapp and Ty Ricotilli, but no runs crossed the plate for the Mt. Lions as they fell 12-0.
This matchup concludes regular season play and sectional play is set to begin next week. Tucker will travel to Tygarts Valley to take on the Warriors of Pocahontas County on Wednesday May 14th at 6:00pm.
