UHC School of Radiologic Technology Graduation

Bridgeport, WV—WVU Medicine United Hospital Center (UHC) School of Radiologic Technology recently held a commencement and reception for the 2025 graduates. Diplomas were presented to 14 students from Program Director, Micah Ford; Clinical Coordinator, Jane Bray; and Clinical Preceptors, Lisa Knight and Abby Kovalck at 5 p.m., on Saturday, May 17, at the Bridgeport High School Auditorium.

Jeremy McCarty, radiology physician assistant at UHC, served as guest speaker for the commencement, while Tori Anderson delivered the class address. Special presentations included Radiography Clinical Excellence Award presented to graduate Alexis Hudson; Radiography Academic Excellence Award presented to graduates Kira Brown and Katie Dotson; and the Laurie D’Anselmi Technologist of the Year award presented to technologist Mandy Stoneking.

Graduates of the School of Radiologic Technology include Tori Anderson-Law, daughter of Tisha and Andy Anderson and the wife of Jedediah Law; William Rylee Barnard, son of Gibson and Kristi Barnard of Shinnston; Kira Brown, daughter of Eric and Kendra Brown of Flatwoods; Claire Coffman, daughter of Jeff and Cassie Coffman of Buckhannon; Katie Dotson, daughter of Josh and Crystal Dotson of Shinnston; Alexis Hudson, daughter of Brad and Kelli Hudson; Jenna Hupps, daughter of Bob and Melinda Hupps of Mount Clare; Anthony Jones, son of Dianne Secreto and the late James Jones and the husband of Clarissa Jones; Ava Kuhn, daughter of Michael and Melissa Kuhn of Fairmont; Jordan Snyder, daughter of Lisa Thompson of Ravenswood and Terry Snyder of Bridgeport; Ally Straight, daughter of Mike and Jill Straight of Fairmont; Katie Thompson, daughter of Mary and Tim Thompson of West Union; Summer Warner, daughter of Bill Warner and Charmin Warner; Keri Yanero, daughter of Chris and Kristi Yanero of Fairmont.

Brown, Dotson, and Yanero will attend UHC Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program; Hupps and Thompson will attend the WVUH Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program; Snyder will attend the WVUH Cardiac Sonography Program; Coffman, Hudson, Jones, and Straight have accepted employment as staff radiographers at United Hospital Center; Warner has accepted employment as a staff radiographer at St. Joseph’s Hospital and UHC; Kuhn has accepted employment as a staff radiographer at UHC and Mon Health Medical Center and plans to attend Fairmont State University to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree; Anderson has accepted employment as a mammographer at UHC; Barnard has accepted employment as a staff radiographer at UHC and plans to further his education and obtain his Bachelor’s Degree.
