Diane Beall was honored for her fundraising efforts and ticket sales over the years during the celebration.

July 4th this year marked the 35th anniversary of the Tucker Community Foundation’s Uncle Sam’s Birthday Party. The event, held at Bear Paw Lodge in Canaan Valley State Park, was a gala event complete with gourmet meal, cash bar and prizes. Special commemorative plates printed with the name of the event and date were given to each attendee as a memento of the event.

Throughout the night’s elimination, bal-loons with monetary amounts ranging from $250 to $1,000 were drawn along with numbers for sets of Fiestaware dishes. Separate raffles were held for two E-bikes, a Greenbrier getaway and two Tucker Pack-ages. The final ticket was raffled off for $4,500, but was not the $10,000 winner. That distinction went to an amazed Amanda Simmons.

The final ticket holders anxiously await the drawing for the $10,000.
