County Clerk Sherry Simmons was presented with the certificate of recognition for extraordinary public service to the state of West Virginia and upholding the integrity of the County Clerk’s office by Secretary of State Chris Warner.
Simmons was presented with the award during the 2025 West Virginia Secretary of State’s County Clerks Election Training Conference, hosted at Canaan Valley Resort.
The three-day training was provided to County Clerks and their staff across the state to prepare them for the upcoming 2026 Election Cycle.
Simmons has held her position as the County Clerk of Tucker County for 18 years and has worked in the County Clerks office for 31 years.
