The Davis-Thomas Bears volleyball teams officially kicked off their 2025 season on Wednesday, September 4th, with an away match at West Preston. It was a competitive night of action, with both the JV and Varsity squads giving it their all on the court.
The JV team battled hard in a three-set match but ultimately fell short in the final set. Despite the loss, the young Bears showed grit and determination, setting a strong foundation for growth as the season progresses.
The Varsity squad came out strong and made a statement in their season debut, winning both sets and securing the team’s first victory of the season. The win marks a promising start for the Bears as they look ahead to a busy early-season schedule.
Next up, the Bears travel to Bruceton on Monday, September 8th, for another road test. Then on Thursday, fans can catch the Bears in their home opener against Tygart Valley.
