The Parsons Day of Service came off without a hitch Sunday, September 7th. More than 30 volunteers gathered to spruce up locations across the town. Projects included in this year’s event included a new quilt mural the 2nd Street crosswalk, a Little Library constructed in the Pocket Park, Fall Decorations across the downtown and sidewalks, trails, signs and monuments “cleaner than ever.” The Tucker Community Foundation wrote on their Facebook page, “Neighbors, families, city leaders, and organizations all rolled up their sleeves to show what makes Parsons special.” The event was a partnership of the Tucker Community Foundation with Volunteer WV. The organizations thanked everyone who volunteered and supported the effort. Photos courtesy the Tucker Community Foundation Facebook.
