Robert Dale Lambert

Robert Dale Lambert, 89, of Thomas, died at home surrounded by his family on October 12, 2025. He was born in Dry Fork on March 24, 1936, the only son of the late Robert Wyatt and Floda Agnes Hedrick Lambert.

Surviving is his wife of 70 years, Jeannette Christine Scott Lambert; as well as a son, Theodore W. Lambert and wife Judy; three daughters, Linda S Nichols and husband Pat, Cynthia L Snyder and husband William, and Penelope L Kidwell and husband Alan; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as one step grandson, three step great-grandsons; and sister, Shirley Perozziello; along with many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Robert Scott Lambert; daughter-in-law, Marianne Fink Lambert; daughter-in-law, Deborah Burdette Lambert; grandson, Robert Scott Lambert Jr.; granddaughter, Caroline Marie Snyder; step-grandson, Jacob Roberts; and sisters, Hilda Thomas and Mary Alice Klein.

He graduated from Thomas High School and was employed by the Glenn L Martin Company, now Lockheed Martin in Baltimore, Maryland, that manufactured airplanes. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Thomas and was also retired coal miner, having worked for Island Creek Coal Company for 31 years.

At the request of the deceased, cremation has been chosen with a private family interment in Rose Hill Cemetery.
