With the Tucker Valley football team’s regular season finale forfeited by Pendleton County Middle School last Thursday, the future Mt. Lions took the opportunity to celebrate their 8th-grade recognition during halftime of the current Mt. Lions football game.

Ten football players and five cheerleaders will be moving on to play for the Black and Gold next season. All fifteen were escorted across the 50-yard line during the break in action.

Football players recognized were Legend Harper, Elijah O’Brien, Titus Bowley, Quinton Teter, Asher Kisamore, Wade Boyles, Devin White, Blake Holland, Matthew Barkley, and Rylan Sexton. Cheerleaders honored were Kennedy Aker, Whitney Fowler, Mya Adams, Jayah Kuykendall, and Kosi Slaughbaugh. (as pictured)
