Raymond Ralph Mason, age 74 years, a resident of Parsons, WV departed this life early Saturday morning, November 22, 2025, at his home.

He was born Monday, November 12, 1951, at Parsons, WV, a son of the late Lawrence Robert Mason and Stella Mae Wilson Mason.

Surviving are one son, Allen Ray Mason of Oakland, MD; two daughters, Laura Ellen Olsen and companion William Cantrell of Parsons and Melissa Mae Mason and companion Johnny Campbell of Richmond, VA; three brothers, Clarence Robert “Bob” Mason and wife Kelley, and Tommy Arley Mason and wife Vickie, all of Parsons and David Oliver Mason and companion Ruth of Cowan, WV; three sisters, Gladys Virginia Long of Dry Fork, Nettie Robinson of Parsons, and Bonnie Mae Mason of Websters Springs; one granddaughter, Shayla Renee Mason of Parsons; his niece Kelley Garman of Parsons, who helped take care of Raymond for the past several years; several nieces and nephews; and his Blue Heeler dog, “Joe”.

Preceding him in death are two brothers, James Franklin “Frank” Mason and Freddie Mason; and two sisters, Carol Sue Long and Laura Ellen “Pat” Long.

He attended Parsons High School. He had worked at the Woodrow Price Sawmill, the Parsons Tannery, and the Ricottilli Lumber Co for over thirty years. He was a member and faithful attendee of the St. George Church of God. He was a member of the Tucker County Fair Board and spent a lot of time with his children through those years. He enjoyed keeping and riding his horses and was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting. Raymond had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed.

The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Tuesday from 4 PM to 6 PM. Final rites were conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 25, 2025, at 11 AM. Pastor Carolyn Shreve officiated and interment followed at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of the arrangements for Raymond Ralph Mason. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
