DT Lady Bears Whip Up on Harman and West Preston

The Davis Thomas Lady Bears continued their dominant season with two massive victories last week.

On Monday, January 5th, the Bears beat the Harman Panthers with a final score of 48–5. Addy Johnson led all scorers with 16 points, followed by Morgan Simmons with 11 points. Shylah Wolfe and Stella Johnson also contributed 4 points each.

The Bears then took on West Preston Middle on Wednesday, January 7th, with the junior varsity squad taking the court first. The JV Bears set the tone early for the night, punishing West Preston 36–5. Shylah Wolfe ended the game with 8 points, Elaina Pregley collected 7 points, and both Audri Mullenax and Hannah Heckler added 6 points.

The varsity squad followed up by holding their opponent to less than double-digit scoring for the second game in a row, beating West Preston 52–8. Morgan Simmons led DT with 16 points, while Addy Johnson followed closely with 12 points. Hadley Nestor contributed 10 points and Harper Wilt finished with 6 points.

The Lady Bears will play again on January 16th at Green Bank Middle for a 5:00 p.m. tipoff.
