Thomas, West Virginia—January 18, 2026. The Friends of the Mountaintop Public Library (FOMPL) has announced its annual “Love Your Library” event, which will be held on Wednesday, March 4, at the White Grass Café in Canaan Valley. The theme of this year’s event is “Light Up the Night”.

Tickets are $75 per person for the multi-course dinner and can be purchased starting January 19 at the Mountaintop Public Library or by visiting https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/love-your-library-dinner. In addition to a fabulous meal, guests will have chances to win baskets of curated collections throughout the evening. Separate tickets will be sold during the event for the basket raffle.

Dinner entrees will include a choice of Chicken Marbella and Marinated Tofu Steak with Butter Miso Sauce. A vegan option can also be requested at the time of ticket purchase. Dinner will include hot and cold non-alcoholic beverages, and beer and wine will be available for purchase. Doors open at 5:30 pm and dinner will be served at 6:00 pm. The White Grass Ski Touring Center and Café are located at 643 Weiss Knob Ski Road, Davis.

The Mountaintop Public Library serves as a community library for Davis, Thomas, Canaan Valley, and beyond. It also serves as the library for the Davis-Thomas Elementary/Middle School. FOMPL was established to provide financial support and other types of assistance to the library, including educational, literacy, cultural, and social materials and activities for the community. Fundraising efforts are mostly focused on providing library operational support and the construction of a new library building. For more information about FOMPL or the “Love Your Library” event, write to fompl.tucker@gmail.com or visit the library at 384 2nd Street in Thomas.
