TVEMS students present The Winter Holiday Show: A Multi-species Celebration

2014-12-19 14.58.14Mrs. Falls and Mrs. Herron’s classes joined together to put on a production of The Winter Holiday Show: A Multi-species Celebration. Mrs. Falls’ room was turned into a winter wonderland with set construction done by the middle school stage craft art students under the direction of Mrs. Olivia Snider.

The Winter Holiday Show describes the traditions and celebrations of Christmas and Hanukkah as well as other winter traditions from the perspectives of the goofy animals that tell the story such as the goose who is worried about being eaten for the holiday, a wolf, and an owl. There was a latke-loving bear who eats too much, beavers who steal Christmas trees, and a squirrel who wants to pull Santa’s sleigh – not to mention Superbadgers and some shady skunks who all want to teach the moose about the Winter holidays.

These types of shows improve reading, vocabulary, reading comprehension, performance and music skills, class teamwork and numerous social skills while enabling students to be a part of a wonderful and fun experience they will never forget.

“I am excited to be able to do these productions with our students,” says Mrs. Falls. It is a wonderful experience for all.
