United Way Highlights Year of Impact, Welcomes New Board Members

The Tygart Valley United Way held their annual meeting of the organization virtually on March 17, 2026.

During the meeting, leaders elected the officers and new members of the organization’s 2026-2027 Board of Directors.

Blaire Nuzum-Wise of TCR Companies will serve as Chair, Melanie Thompson of Huntington Bank, Vice Chair, Rebecca Miller of ND Paper, Secretary, Jennifer Wade of Conley CPA, Treasurer, and Kristie Vandevander of Kristie Vandevander CPA, Assistant Treasurer.

The board elected new members, including:

• Brandi Lemon- Clear Mountain Bank
• Diana Landsverk- Vandalia Health Davis
• Paige Gardner- Country Roads Moving
• Cindee Campbell- Blue Ridge Risk Partners
• John Cochran- Dyna-Tech Adhesives
• Cassie Zelenak- Preston Taylor Health Centers
• Lori Barman- Mon Power/First Energy
• Diane Hinkle- Tucker Community Volunteer
• Jayme Payton- WesBanco

Outgoing board members were honored for their service and include: Christina Gouzd, Christine Miller, Chuck Shields, Debby Michalski, Kevin Gessler, Jim Myers, Katie Willard, and Donna Heston.

“United Way’s Board of Directors is made up of dedicated leaders who care deeply about the strength and future of our community,” said Brett White, Chief Executive Officer. “We are especially grateful for the service of our outgoing board members, whose leadership and commitment have helped United Way continue to grow and evolve. They have given generously of their time, insight, and passion. On behalf of our Board of Directors, staff, and volunteers, I extend a heartfelt thank you for all they have done to advance our mission.”
