Robert Norman Jones, 57, died Thursday, January 1, 2015 at his residence in Purgitsville, WV.
Bob was born March 26, 1958 at Fort Meade, MD, to Robert L. and Barbara N. Jones. Following high school at Arundel in Odenton Md., he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corp.
He was an outstanding craftsman and applied his gift as a cabinet-maker in Maryland, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Bob is remembered fondly for his contagious laughter, talent with the guitar and love of animals.
In addition to his sisters and brothers in-law, Beth and Billy Herring of Clarksburg, MD and Bronwyn and Tommy Mattos of Fountain Inn, SC, Bob is survived by his Aunt, Sandra Lilja of Maidsville, WV, his Uncle, John Hartz of Bay Village, OH, his adoring niece and her husband, Bronwyn and SSgt David Hinson, and their sons Landon and Mendel. He leaves behind many cousins and friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, grand-parents and his much loved Uncle Art.
A close family Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date with internment to follow at the Davis Cemetery in Davis, WV.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial donations be made to the American Humane Society.
