Tucker Valley Middle School has a new name etched into its track and field record books, and it belongs to an eighth grader who delivered an unforgettable performance at the latest meet.
Competing for the Tucker Valley Wildcats, Legend Harper delivered a historic day on the track, breaking not one but two school records. He set a new mark in the 100-meter hurdles with a blazing time of 16.62 seconds, securing a first-place finish.
Harper followed that up with another record-breaking performance in the 200-meter hurdles, finishing third overall with a time of 30.01 seconds, also a new school record.
Beyond the hurdles, Harper proved his versatility across multiple events. He soared to a second-place finish in the high jump, and to continue showcasing his determination he showed up in the 400-meter dash, finishing among the top ten in a competitive field.
Tucker Valley Wildcats Track & Field will compete again on April 24th in Preston County.
