The Lady Mt. Lions of Tucker County High School’s softball team got their week off with a bang, earning a road victory over the Colts of Philip Barbour. Tucker would score 15 of their 18 runs in the second and third innings, leading to the blowout 18-3 victory over the Colts. Bella Loucks would drive in six runs on two hits, Peyton Hicks drove in two more off her team-high four hits, and Hicks also collected the win on the evening. Hicks would allow just five hits with zero earned runs.

The girls would stay on the road, traveling to Mill Creek to take on the Lady Bulldogs. Tucker would give up five runs in the first, five runs in the third, and six runs in the fourth inning, falling to the Bulldogs 17-2. Tucker found just five hits on the night, two for Hicks, two for Rylee White, and one more for Lilly Collar.

Tucker would finish their week with a home game on senior night against the #2 team in the state in Class AA, the Petersburg Vikings. Tucker was shut out in the contest, which saw two homers by the Vikings lead to a 16-0 win for Petersburg. Tucker collected just three hits in the game, one each from Hicks, Loucks, and Isabell Bennett. Tucker will return to play on Monday, the 27th, as they travel to Southern Garrett (MD).
