The TCHS baseball team had another rough week of games this past week, dropping three more matchups. Tucker first fell to Tygarts Valley 16-1. In the game, Tucker was able to connect with just two balls, as Josh Crossland notched a triple and the game’s lone run, with Evan Witt securing the RBI on his single.

Tucker then would take on the Colts of Philip Barbour. This night proved to be an even tougher one at the plate for the Mt. Lions, as they didn’t account for any hits. Junior Evan Witt scored the lone run for Tucker as they fell 16-1 to the Colts.

Tucker wrapped up the week with a matchup with the Grafton Bearcats. TCHS played better in this one but still couldn’t overcome their opponents, as they were beaten 18-3. Five players collected a hit on the night, with Owen Bolyard, Liam Gilligan, Brock Hovatter, and Evan Witt all accounting for a single, and Josh Moore with a double.

Tucker will play again on Friday at home as they host the East Hardy Cougars.

Zane Carr sends the fast ball.
