The Tucker County Commission proclaimed May 8th as Child Care Provider Appreciation Day for Tucker County. Stephanie Hoover of Mountain Heart was on hand to present the proclamation to the Commissioners. “These dedicated professionals do far more than supervise children during the workday,” Hoover said. “They create safe, nurturing environments where young children can explore, learn and grow during the most critical years of brain development…Simply put, when childcare providers are supported and valued, children thrive, families succeed and communities grown stronger.”
The proclamation is a yearly acknowledgment of the hard work and dedication that childcare providers give to children and families in the community each and every day, as well as a thank you for the valuable service they provide to working families, student parents and other primary caregivers.
