The following criminal complaint has been filed in the Tucker County Magistrate office:

• Austin Marie McClung was charged with one count of Malicious or unlawful assault; assault; battery. According to the complaint on Friday, May 1, Cpl. B.M. Gidley, along with Lt. Teter and Sgt. Zirk of the Tucker County Sheriff’s office received a call from Tucker County Communications (911) of an assault that had occurred next to the Grant County Bank in Canaan Valley. Units responded to the scene and after arriving Gidley spoke with the victim. She advised him that she was at the Breakfast Nook in Canaan and she was going to go for a walk and the accused was upset that she was leaving and thought she was trying to leave the house and followed the victim down the road and stabbed her bag with a knife and then proceeded to slash her left arm. The attack happened outside along WV32 in Canaan Valley area heading towards the Grant County Bank. The victim advised she slashed her with a serrated knife. The victim advised the accused always carried it. EMS arrived on scene and assessed the victim and Gidley obtained photos of the cut which was approximately four inches in length and gathered the bag which was cut as evidence. Gidley was then informed that the accused was back at the Breakfast Nook located down the road. Officers traveled the location and located the accused. Gidley asked her if she knew why the officers were there and she advised because of happened between her and the victim. He asked her what happened and she stated she get mad and told my friend to kill herself, and when she confronted her about it, she stated that she had stabbed the bag and cut her on the arm with the knife that she grabbed from the Breakfast Nook. Gidley recovered the knife alleged to have been used in this incident from an employee of the Breakfast Nook residence, also he received a statement from another witness stating she was present when the accused left the Breakfast Nook with the knife and when she came back, she stated that she had allegedly cut the victim on the arm.

• Ryan Thomas Sines, of Suffolk, Va. Was charged with one count of Unlawful taking of vehicle, one count Domestic Battery, one count of Petit Larceny. The complaint states that on Friday, May 1 officers were dispatched by Tucker County Communications (911) to 23 Green Lane, Davis for a domestic violence complaint. Sgt. B.T. Zirk and Lt. C.A. Teter of the TCSO responded. Upon arrival officers met with complainant/victim Trevor Sines. He advised officers that is brother, Ryan Thomas Sines (suspect) had taken his dog and their father’s vehicle and left prior to officers arriving. At this time Gregory Thomas Sines arrived n scene. Trevor provided officers a hand written and signed statement. In summary, Trevor stated Ryan woke him up around 10 a.m. on Friday, May 1 and tried to get Trevor to drive Ryan to Wilmington, North Carolina. Trevor stated after some time Ryan tried to intimidate Trevor into complying by yelling in his face and shoving him. Trevor stated he asked Ryan to keep the car warm. Trevor then stated Ryan took Trevor’s dog Bella, an eight-year-old pitbull mix with health complications. Trevor stated he barricaded himself in his room downstairs and called 911. Trevor then stated after multiple failed attempts to get into his room, Ryan took the dog and their father’s car around 11 a.m. Trevor further stated he had seen Ryan get in the driver seat of the car and drive off. Gregory provided a handwritten and signed statement. In summary, Gregory stated his vehicle was stolen while he was at work by his oldest son Ryan Sines, around 11 a.m. on Friday, May 1. Gregory stated Ryan does not have permission to take the vehicle and has never had permission to take the vehicle.

• Charles E. Nichols, Dry Fork District, 18.78 and 7.22 acres to Leslie G. Gordan, $800,000.

• Christal G. Perry, Appointee of the Honorable Mark A. Hunt, State Auditor, Mark Hunt, State Auditor, Carney Ratliff and Freda L. Ratliff, Dry Fork District, Tax Sale Certificate #2024-C-00033; 1/6 M. 61.5/6 acres to BDW Management Inc., $161.30.
