Tucker County baseball started off the week with a road matchup against the Gilmer County Titans. TCHS was outscored 6-0 in both the first and second innings, taking an early 12-0 deficit. Tucker would get on the board by scoring a run in both the third and fourth innings, but the damage was done as they fell 15-2. Tucker managed just five hits in the game, with Owen Helmick responsible for two of them. Josh Moore, Parker Newman, and Colton Teter also reached base with one hit each.
The Mt. Lions then returned home to take on the Moorefield Yellowjackets. Tucker failed to cross home plate in this one, as they were shut out 19-0. Tucker put the bat on the ball just four times, again with Helmick responsible for two hits, while Brayden Bennett and Josh Crossland collected one each for the Mt. Lions. Tucker is now preparing for upcoming regional play as the regular season comes to a close.
