The Grant County Bank Announces New Name

Petersburg, W.Va. — The Grant County Bank has officially announced its intention to transition its name and brand to Highlands Bank to better reflect the extended service area across multiple communities in the region.

“This is a thrilling time for all of us as we prepare the transition to the Highlands Bank brand,” shared George Ford, President and CEO. “Our employees have known about the announcement since late last year, and we wanted to formally announce our new name ahead of the branding update, which will modify the look and feel. We think you’ll like what you see!”

This change reflects an update to the bank’s branding only. There will be no changes to ownership, customer accounts, services, or day-to-day banking operations.

The Grant County Bank encourages the community to keep an eye on its website and social media channels, as well as on the billboards in Keyser, Moorefield, and Petersburg, for more details in the coming weeks. The community is invited to join in the rebranding celebrations at any of our banking locations on July 1 – more details to follow.

About The Grant County Bank

The Grant County Bank was chartered as a West Virginia state bank on August 6, 1902, and began operations on August 15 with its first office in Petersburg, WV. Our mission of providing financial services and products to families, small businesses, and the agricultural community has served both our customers and the bank well over the years.

Subsequently, The Grant County Bank has expanded its marketplace throughout the Potomac Highlands and now operates a total of seven offices in six counties. After more than a century of continued service, The Grant County Bank is truly “Committed to The Communities We Serve” and is a subsidiary of Highlands Bankshares, Inc., also headquartered in Petersburg, WV.
